The Chester County Park System, comprised of Hibernia, Nottingham and Warwick County {WCP new pavilion} Parks; Springton Manor Farm, and Black Rock Sanctuary, encompasses some 4575 acres. These dedicated parklands, open for public use, were created to preserve the natural and cultural history of the County, and provide passive recreational pursuits. County parks’ rules and regulations are enforced by Park Rangers. Park sites are open 8am – sunset, and offer a mixture of recreational opportunities and services. Facilities are available year-round, weather permitting. The Parks Department has set charges for services that require staff and facility use beyond routine operations.
Accessibility - The County Park system will make every effort to accommodate visitors with disabilities. Hibernia, Nottingham and Warwick County Parks feature playgrounds accessible to those with disabilities per ADA Standards. Please call the park office with your special needs.
Athletic Courts & Fields - The Parks & Recreation Department does not have formal athletic facilities. You are welcome to enjoy a casual pick-up volleyball or softball game, or play horseshoes during your visit to one of the County Parks.
Meeting Areas - Springton Manor Farm and Hibernia County Park offer space for group meetings. Please call the host park for more information.
Programs & Events - The Parks & Recreation Department offers seasonal nature programs, special events, tours, camps and more. Pick up a copy of our Nature of Things newsletter at any of the Chester County Parks or the Administrative Office in West Chester, or see the seasonal program listing.
